Why are Christian men such wimps?

Is it because Jesus said "Blessed are the meek"? Is it because Jesus was crucified by the Romans rather leading an army against the Romans and kicking their s? Or, are some faithful, devout Christian men not wimps at all? (P.S. I am not trying to offend anyone. Rather, I really want to understand whether a man can be masculine and macho and also a faithful, devout, serious Christian--and if this is possible, how can is done in a world that measures men by how tough they are, how rich they are, how successful they are, how beautiful their wife or girlfriend is, etc.)
