Why do my car speakers crackle?

I just bought a 96 civic ex coupe, and i noticed that when i turn the speakers on it crackles pretty badly but then after about 30 seconds to a minute it smooths out and it sounds pretty nice, whats going on here? how do i fix it? oh and its coming from the stock b speakers in the back
