08 Scion XD or 07 Honda Civic Coupe?

I planned to get a civic coupe as my first car this end of the month:) but NOW i find out the XD is coming out!!! the feature is so good so cute...and it has the rear wiper!!!(which civic coupe doesnt have!!) rear wiper is important for me cuz i live in michigan....but im still afraid of XD's reliability and safety, since XD is a brand new model, might have some small problems to be fixed in the first year...btw, it is no doubt that honda civic has the better reliability and safety...so, now im struggling with my decisions:( pliz give me any idea to help chose my first car Thank You!
